New Feature

Feature 1: Customers can now be filtered by outstanding balance

Impact area: Sales module

Introduction: The customer list can be filtered according to only show customers with an outstanding balance. This will make it easier for customers to send outstanding balance reports to their customers.

Pre-condition:

  • None

Functionality:

  • From the customer list, (Sale → Customers) change the dropdown menu from All Customers to Outstanding Balance.
  • Clicking the Due header can then sort customers according to highest outstanding balance.

Feature 2: ‘Awaiting Approval’ status for CRM Opportunities

Impact area: CRM module

Introduction: When opportunity approval is enabled, authorised opportunities gain the status ‘Awaiting Approval’ until an authorised user approves or rejects the opportunity.

Pre-condition:

  • Enable Opportunity Approval from the General Settings → CRM.

Functionality:

  • Select an In Progress opportunity and click Authorise. This submits the opportunity for approval and changes the opportunity status to Awaiting Approval.
  • An authorised user must then approve or reject the opportunity. Only users with the DEAR CRM → Task Approval user permission are able to approve opportunities.

Feature 3: HubSpot – Multiple HubSpot Deal stages can be mapped to a single DEAR Sale status

Impact area: HubSpot integration

Introduction: In the previous version, each HubSpot Deal stage could only be mapped to one DEAR Sale status (e.g. Contract Sent > Sale order is authorised) at a time. This was implemented to prevent errors during sale export to HubsSpot.

With this release, several HubSpot Deal stages can be associated with the same DEAR Sale status. When a sale is exported from DEAR for the first time with a sale status associated to more than one HubSpot Deal stage, the earliest HubSpot stage will be picked for the exported sale. When DEAR updates an existing deal in HubSpot, the existing deal keeps its existing stage.

  • Active HubSpot integration

Functionality:

  • HubSpot Deal stages are mapped to DEAR Sale statuses from the HubSpot Setup page in DEAR (Integrations → HubSpot → [select store] → Setup).

Feature 4: HubSpot – Sales with negative line values do not export to HubSpot

Impact area: HubSpot integration

Introduction: HubSpot’s API currently does not support negative quantities and prices. Due to this, if a DEAR sale contains a negative sale line, it will not be exported to HubSpot. This is due to a HubSpot limitation.

Pre-condition:

  • Active HubSpot integration.

Feature 5: HubSpot – Auto-sync only exports sales and customers that have been updated

Impact area: HubSpot integration

Introduction: Previously, auto-sync between DEAR and HubSpot all sales and customers were exported. With this release, only sales and customers that have been changed since the previous sync are exported to HubSpot.

Pre-condition:

  • Active HubSpot integration.
  • Auto-sync enabled.

Introduction: The DEAR POS application has been redesigned with a new look and feel to improve usability.

Pre-condition:

  • Active POS integration.
