Organize a smooth production process capable of timely delivery of finished products
Organize a smooth production process capable of timely delivery of finished products
- Factory Calendar – define the default working days and operational hours, set the days off and custom working hours
- Create multiple Shop Floor locations
- Set up the Logistics Path to factor in the lead time for components for accurate ordering and production sheduling
- Create multiple work centres and link them to the bins for the perfect visibility of your components used in production
- Manage production resources by calculating the resource capacity to define the timelines of the production
- Set custom hours at the level of the resource
- Create finite and infinite resources

Create a detailed production BOM
Define each step of a production operation, its duration, components and resources in the Production BOM with a great level of detail.
Create a detailed production BOM
- Protect the production order deadline by setting the manufacturing buffer
- Implement parallel and non parallel operations in a Production BOM
- Choose among the 3 types of operations: manufacturing, quality control and setup that describe the best your manufacturing process.
- Create single product Production BOM and multi product Production BOM
- Choose to aply 2 types of costs allocation: Sales Value Method and Net Realizable Value Method when the products in production go through split-off points to become separate and distinct from one another
- Create Nested Production BOM
- Use intermediate products reflected in the Production BOM to increase accuracy in production reporting and transparency for the production process.

Customise Production Process Settings
Customise Production Process Settings
- Make Stock Transfer and Purchase order replenishment automatic
- Create a Production Order manually or trigger it once the sale order for the finished good is authorised

Capacity Planner
With Cin7 Core Capacity Planner you can reduce resource costs, ensure availablity and identify skill shortages
Capacity Planner
- Manage the capacity for a selected planning period, which resources are overallocated and re-plan the capacity to ensure a smooth delivery of production orders

Scheduler
Cin7 Core Scheduler acts as a single communication tool to the business which helps smooth the demand signal, protect the lead time and prioritise the requirements
Scheduler
- Visualize the production order information
- Re-schedule the production orders, production runs and operations by drag and drop functionality
- Create the schedule for production, so all finished products are produced on time, providing smooth production without any delays
- Get the transparency for the production process so that you always know what should be produced and when it should be completed
- Assess how long an order should take, determine the resources loading, and plan the order in which the operations should be completed
- View and manage the dependencies between operations

Create and manage the production orders
Create and manage the production orders
- Calculate the capacity from planned date forward or from required by date backward
- Split the production order into multiple production runs
- Get a complete visibility of the related orders associated with the production order
- Amend the yield and get the cost to be re-calculated accordingly
- Consolidate, plan and release production orders in bulk
- Print and email production order documents

Frequently Asked Questions
What is MRP?
Cin7 Core MRP stands for Material Requirements Planning. Any complex manufacturing requires tools that can handle complexity, particularly the advanced planning and scheduling functions that come with our MRP module.
This MRP module has elevated our cloud ERP solution into a truly comprehensive suite of tools and closed any gaps in our manufacturing model. You can now evolve your manufacturing from a simple production process to a fully planned and optimized process with finite control over capacity and resources.
What is the difference between Assembly BOM and Production BOM?
The difference between the Production BOM and Assembly BOM is that Assembly involves only one operation and Production involves many operations. The Assembly BOM lists products and service items but does not take into account resource capacity and operation scheduling.
What is Capacity Planner?
The Capacity Planner is a resource allocation reporting and re-planning tool. The Capacity Planner shows the capacity for a selected planning period, which resources are overallocated, and allows re-planning of capacity.
What is Production Scheduler?
The Cin7 Core Production Scheduler visualises Production Order information. It creates a schedule for production, so all finished products are produced on time, providing smooth production without any delays. Scheduler provides the ability to to reschedule Production Orders, Production Runs and operations.
What is Production BOM explosion?
A bill of materials explosion displays an assembly at the highest level broken down into its individual components and parts at the lowest level. Production BOMs can contain finished products (products with their own production BOM) or assembled components (products with their own Assembly BOM).
Can I create multiple Finished products within one Bill of Materials?
Yes, Cin7 Core allows you to define manufacturing processes for multiple finished products at a time. It is worth mentioning that in Cin7 Core, the primary product of a production process is a finished product, but coproducts, byproducts, and joint production products etc. are also classed as finished products, thus supported in Cin7 Core.
How is the cost calculated for the coproducts, byproducts and joint production products?
Different products may go through the same production process, making it difficult to differentiate costs among products early in production. During this stage, your organisation is incurring joint costs. Cin7 Core allows the products in production to go through split-off points to become separate and distinct from one another. After split-off, each products incurs separable costs.
The Cin7 Core production process allows for two types of costs allocation for products:
– Sales Value Method: Best applied when separable costs do not exist, can be ignored, or are equivalent.
– Net Realisable Value Method: Best applied when separable costs are significant.
