After Acquiring TradeGecko, Intuit Is Shutting It Down

On June 9th, Intuit announced that TradeGecko is shutting down. Going forward, QuickBooks Commerce will only be available as part of QuickBooks Online and only for customers in the United States.  Every TradeGecko customer will be impacted, and service of any kind outside the US will stop announced here).

With the economy picking up and the holiday shopping season fast approaching, we’ve decided to help as many affected businesses and their partners as we can.  We’ve put together a special offer for anyone currently using TradeGecko.

On average, the time needed to be up and running with DEAR ranges from 3 weeks for standard implementations and up to 6 to 8 weeks for complex implementations.

What does this mean for you and your business?

If your business is outside the US, you won’t be able to use TradeGecko at all. After the shutdown, the only way you can use the TradeGecko is if you’re a US business and if you use QuickBooks Commerce as part of QuickBooks Online. If your business is anywhere other than the United States, you won’t be able to use TradeGecko or QuickBooks Commerce, and you’ll need to find an alternative.

Affected businesses will have to find an alternative to continue operating, and because migrating your business operations requires careful planning and execution, it’s wise to do this as soon as possible.
